Starting from a block of unwanted grey EPS foam two blanks were made with a home made hot wire. Just about every step in the shaping of these two boards was an experiment.
Experiments like this sometimes pay off but this one less so. A combination of under-glassing with an extremely low density foam gave us boards that were incredibly light, but also incredibly soft. The 7'6 couldn't handle the Famara sunlight and popped due to the internal pressure, leading to a full delamination at Easkey several weeks later. The 6'2 is still going but it's days are presumably numbered.
